I love the sleeves and the colour looks great on you, you are right to wear it! I love Jalie tops but I always trace my size from the envelope and then add 1cm to the side seams and sleeve seams - this seems to give me the extra room I need!

It's a gorgeous fabric and a pretty design, I can see why you like it! I don't think the tulip sleeves look old lady-ish, but then again what do I know at 30? I wonder if you can "rescue" this top by shortening it? (I feel that even if it did fit nicely through the hips it's a bit long for my taste - but again, I'm not you so what do I know, lol) I'm thinking either just hike up the hem band and wear it at your waist, letting the extra fabric blouse out a bit, or cut it off right where the smile wrinkles start and re-attach the hem band there. I think if you did that the fit might not be as perfect as you'd like but it would be pretty good.

This is so cute! I hope your 10 year old tells you the sleeves are wonderful. Glad you are going to make this again. It definitely looks nice on you. I love Jalie patterns, but have found they have to have a little tweaking to make them fit like you want.

I love the neckline and the sleeves of this top, too. Even if your 10-year old thinks the tulip sleeves look old ladyish--which I don't--remember that one of the great things about getting older is that we start knowing what looks good on us!
