Hi, I love how this came out, it is really sweet and doesn't overwhelm the head like so many hats for little ones these days. I will say that ties are no longer acceptable on children's clothing unless there is break away piece so they can not choke on them. You can create the bow and then put velcro on the made up bow that attaches to the other ribbon. If you look at hats made today they all have the ties connected with the velcro at the end. I may have to make a few of these bonnets though, it really came out adorable.
