That's fabulous! I'm guessing you added 1" total to the seams--1/8" at each seam at the waist? And when you say you lined it with silk, is that silk organza or some other kind of silk? This skirt looks professionally crafted and so here's a big congratulations sent out to a Beginner. WOW!

Love your skirt..esp the fact that the godets are cut in one with the rest of the skirt. Makes things so much easier and just as elegant. Read your blog...the story of the little orange shell that wouldn't is a classic! Ha! Great explanation of your invisible zipper technique!
