What a cute bag! And you are definitely too hard on yourself. We'd all like absolute perfection on the first try (or I would at least) but this is not amateurish. I hope you are pleased with the bag. Love your fabric combo.

Penelope, I think you did a terrific job on this bag and am impressed that it turned out so well. And most importantly, you learned some amazing tricks and techniques that you can use on all your future sewing projects, not just handbags. I completely agree with you that when you learn to make your own patterns, the sky is the limit. For you, the sky is now the limit!
