The directions wanted you to button it closed then tie the ties, which I thought was either strange, or I read it wrong, so honestly I stopped with the directions and just made what I thought was right. Traditional wrap to me: one big piece of fabric with 2 ties. warp around and use ties to secure. no buttons.

Interesting, I haven't done a wrap skirt since I was in school and it wrapped aroung the front twice and then you used a tie. I have never heard of buttons but now I know what you meant! Thanks for the update.
