I wholeheartedy agree that many patterns need to be updated for fleece techniques!! If you go to the Malden Mills site (http://www.maldenmillsstore.com/e-classroom.asp?id=0411235769165904063423 ) there's great info on flatlocking on a serger too that has come in very handy for fleece projects and would be great for babies. Very nice job and detailed review!

Thanks for the reference to the Malden Mills site. I flat locked a Pendleton Wool-Scrap quilt this spring, and it worked great.

I have just cut the jacket out in fleece, was worried about the flat seam on the hood, will experiment before I try their instructions--thanks .
