Both are very cute and I love the owl fabric. Also, I did that uneven thing on a nightgown I made a couple of years ago!!! No idea how it happened, but one half of the front yoke is about 1/2 inch shorter than the other. Oh, well--next time!!!

I think the denim and cotton print combinations are adorable! Something you may find easier for the yoke is to stitch the back of the yoke to the body, then stitch on the front side of the yoke. You'll be able to get nice stitching on the front and won't have to worry if the back is caught in the seam as it will already be sewn.
