I made these for Christmas gifts a few years ago, and they were well received. One friend, a delta employee, told me she saw something similar in Italy for $2000.

Cute! I've had this awhile but haven't made it yet..I did make a similar bag from a McCall's pattern I think ages ago, but I don't know what happened to it, lol! Anyway, I love yours!

Cute. And enjoyed your review! LOL. I use nice, smooth 4x4 slate tiles I got at the big-box-home-center for pattern weights. (They were a lot cheaper than true pattern weights.)

Totally cute Renren, and a terrific review. I think this could be wonderful in so many different fabrics, but I'd choose a fabric similar to yours:-)

Very cute bag! It's great how you turned it into a non-evening version! (I ignored this pattern when it came out because I thought, when would I need an evening bag?)

cute bag! Great idea for a handle bar. Thanks. I also really like your review of the pattern weights. I have had the same thoughts. I have been using those big rock book ends (for some reason I seem to have 4 pairs, gifts to kids I think). I was thinking of the CDs also. but I found they were too light weight. hmmmm. The comment on tiles is a good one. They come in various sizes also. Thanks!

In Sandra Betzina's "More Fabric Savy", Bemberg is called "Bemberg Rayon". I think that this bag looks great and would really add a nice touch to a summer outfit. I love the print. The colors are so cheerful!
