Gorgeous top! I have been making similar ones by taking a length of chiffon, putting in a hole for the neck and sewing a side seam close to the body, leaving the ends loose. This would save you some seams and you could just do a rolled hem around all the edges. The only tricky bit then is the neck binding. There is also no cutting out except for the neck. I just rip the fabric to get a straight edge.
