@Loualibar: the "rub off" technique is a method for copying existing garments without harming the originals. I really like the book Patternmaking for a Perfect Fit: http://www.amazon.ca/Patternmaking-Perfect-Fit-Technique-Re-create/dp/0823026663 Also, look at YouTube to watch David Page Coffin's tutorials on copying ready-to-wear shirts and trousers/pants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRLCHj2mDFE
