Love this! Fit looks good to me, even over the turtleneck. The appliques really jazz it up!

This is so cute-I made this up when I first stated sewing again...and had the same reaction. It seemed boring. But unlike you, I didn't have the creativity to use applique. Really terrific idea and the fit looks good.
