Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I believe the pattern did look like the pattern picture and the sizing was accurate to my sizing dimensions on the pattern description.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were easy to follow. The main front section of this pattern was quite different from any standard dress so once you understood how it all fit together it because quite easy. As long as you followed the instructions it wasn't too hard.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love that this dress looks quite comfortable but if you make it with the right material its very trendy. I am not always a big fan of the belts with these dresses so I would recommend just wearing a plain belt with this. As seen in my photos. The dress kind of reminds me of a modern Kimono really. Its has a wrap around almost night gown fitting hehe.
Cotton Sateen but also used polyester which is the Navy version so it worked well in both types.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't use the bottom lining in this dress I found it to be a bit of a waste of material. I just hemmed the bottom of the dress and sewed it up. Although in doing this it ended up being a bit short for the white dress and I did forget to pre-wash my cotton sateen so it shrunk a little in the wash!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have now made 2 dresses out of this material and would definately sew it again in the future.
Conclusion: I love this dress outcome and will definately be wearing this dress as one of my work dresses and out with friends. To view more pictures you can visit My Blog. Feel free to comment or provide any suggestions!!!
