Thank you everyone! I guess I will make it out of a more 'me' fabric now ....... just wish I'd marked the alterations on the pattern pieces!

Your adjustments have done the trick and your 'after' pictures look good. Thanks for posting the 'before' pictures so we can see the process you went through. I have this pattern in the stash but was fearful of a similar result.

I think the finished dress looks great on you! It sounds like a nightmare to make and I think yu did a great job of it, but I won't be tackling it. Thanks for the review.
