It's cute, and there is nothing wrong with quilting cotton for a casual top :-)

Really Like this top from wiksten. And love your fabric. I would chose a quilting cotton or calico so i think yours is a good choice!

Thanks for sharing your experience wit with FBA. It is indeed a difficult style to fit for a full bust! I'd love to see a photo of how it worked on you if you ever have the chance. I plan to help a friend try it and I think I will try both the way Jenny Gordy suggested and just adding a regular bust dart. I also suspect it may benefit from a shaped center back seam.
