Pattern Description:
Misses/Mens/Childrens/Boys/Girls Robe and Belt: Very loose-fitting wrap robe has front facing and upper collar cut in one, dropped shoulders, carriers, stitched hems, sleeves with fold back cuffs and self-belt. Pattern Sizing:
Kids envelope with sizes 3-8, Adult unisex envelope with S-XL. I bought the kids sizes. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Simple, even the shawl collar, which pattern directions sometimes get wonky on. This pattern has the appropriate markings for the collar/shoulder transition. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Good directions if you need them, good basic wrap robe pattern. Nothing to dislike. Fabric Used:
Cotton flannel Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None. I got the kids sizes from their mom and then went to town on them. Amazing how fast you can zip something up when there is no fitting involved. I used my serger with abandon! Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I probably won't since the robes I made are for gifts but I highly recommend. I may buy the adult version next time Butterick is 99 cents because I actually like this robe better than my go-to robe pattern. Conclusion:
Fun, fast project. I made this for my niece who is getting her first American Girl doll for Christmas. I made the doll a matching robe from B3329 that I won't review. It's just a tiny version of this one! I'm about to cut out my nephew's using this scorpion flannel but I won't review it...being a girl is SO much more fun!

I remember one year in particular when Mom made my brother and me new PJs for Christmas. They were red with white polka dots, and we called them our MEASLE PAJAMAS -- ha! YES, we had all the childhood diseases! We must have just had the measles. :o) We have pictures of us in our measle pajamas with our little Airedale puppies. Happy memories, just like you, and now you've passed on yours to your niece, as well. 12/1/12 0:08 AM
