| Pattern Description:
From Vogue: Pullover tunic or dress has front extending into back collar, fitted, front pleated bodice, raised waist, tie ends, two-piece sleeves with barrel cuffs, and stitched hem.
Pattern Sizing:
sizes 8 through 24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Absolutely!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the instructions were easy to follow and the pattern was well-marked. I found no errors in the dress.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the colour (forest green) of the line drawing on the pattern envelope. I loved the wrap style bodice and I am always a sucker for full sleeves with barrel cuffs.
Fabric Used:
Polyester-lycra knit and a poly knit lining for the skirt.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None. I usually do a 2" FBA, but I did not for this dress. I did extend the overlap on the front by about 1 inch, however, just to be sure. The only other change I made was to add a lining to the skirt only. I did this by cutting the skirt pattern in lining, stitching it up separately and sandwiching the bodice between the skirt and the lining when it came time to attach the skirt to the bodice. Then I simply trim the seam, turn the dress right side out, and there's my fully lined skirt!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I may sew this up again, as it's a quick sew and the results are pleasing. I made this up as a break from my current SWAP program, as it was "instant gratification" per se, in the midst of several tailored Marfy pieces.
Conclusion:
A fantastic dress! Make one! You can see from all the reviews of this dress so far that it's beautiful and flattering for all shapes in both solids and prints. This may make the cut for FW 2012 Favourite Dress Pattern.

Nicely done. The dress is incredibly flattering on you. I much prefer how you look in it compared to the rather thin model in the drawing.

Looks wonderful! I love your addition of a skirt lining; so good for creating a smooth line, especially under knit
