| Pattern Description: From the StyleArc web site:
"This is the new look top with a double pleat front feature falling from a V neck. Long sleeves.
60cm or 24 inch centre back length.
Short sleeve pattern also included in the pattern pack."
Pattern Sizing:
StyleArc sizing: Style Arc sizes 6-30 (similar to Australian RTW sizes). Note that StyleArc patterns are hand-drawn and only available in one size per envelope.
When I ordered this pattern, my measurements were close to a size 24; however, I've recently lost a little bit of weight (I haven't retaken my measurements yet), and you can see that the top is a bit roomy. My best guess is that the sizing for this top is true to size with a relaxed fit.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Pretty much, although I don't think the front pleat necessarily sized up proportionately into a larger size like mine. Either that, or the pleat just looks small next to my giant bust.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
StyleArc instructions are more in the style of a list providing an order of construction than a sewing lesson. This was such an easy top to make that I think most seamstresses who are comfortable sewing a t-shirt will be fine.
This pattern does include illustrations on making the front pleat. The illustrations were clear and easy to understand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: This was a quick and easy top to construct. I pretty much sewed the entire top during commercial breaks of an SVU marathon while being at home with my 6-month-old daughter, to give you an idea of how easy this was.
Dislikes: None.
Fabric Used: Rayon jersey from EmmaOneSock. This is one of the knits from the "French Mill" that Linda has gotten in recent months. These knits are very drapey and a nice weight for tops.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened the sleeves by 2". The next time I make this, I'll try to grade the pattern down a size. I think that at the very least, I should take this version in a little at the sides.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I would sew it again and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Conclusion:
I bought this pattern because I had a similar RTW top, liked it, and wanted to make more tops in this style. This pattern will certainly meet those needs. I had no idea this top would be as fast and easy to make as it was!

Really nice top. I've had my eye on this for a while so it is great to see it sews up so nicely. If you ask Chloe and explain, she might send your her grading sheet. She is very generous that way. I asked a question about grading and she sent me a copy.
