Pattern Description: A simple hat pattern, like an adaptation of the pork pie, with a round crown and two tapering rectangles that are sewn together to wrap around the head.
Pattern Sizing: The pattern is drafted according to head size. The first step is to establish Radius from the head size using the formula Radius = Head Size / Pi / 2 then to draw a circle using a compass.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? My daughter's hat, made from a thick faux fur, looked just as I'd hoped it would: very glam and much more expensive that it was (since I only needed a snippet of fur).
My own (see Blog Post or my profile pic) was a more modest affair but that's because I used a less lavish, shearling-like fur.
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is an easy pattern and garment to make (don't be put off by the Math!). The mild difficulty is judging head size and taking into account the thickness of the fur when on the double (as it folds).
Fabric Used: Fur, glorious faux fur. I'm now keeping an eye for a similar "luxury" fur as my daughter's but in a dark colour that would suit me. I'll be making this for friends and friends' daughters!
Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind making this for friends' sons, if they were into the bling style!

I have to use the word awesome. Terrific hat. I love it. I don't think I can make this, but it is a wonderful hat and looks both fashionable and warm!

Great hat! Very Glam! Thanks for the tut. Your blog post had me laughing! I was thinking more Edith Prickley with the leopard hat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Prickley

Very nicely done! Some fur can be very tough to work with.
