Pattern Description:
Kwik Start pattern good for beginners
Pattern Sizing:
8 - 20
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, very much like the photo.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very simple to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that I didn't have to do a lot of adjustments to get it looking good.
Fabric Used:
A lightweight poly rayon knit in charcoal.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Added one inch to the length.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan on sewing a lot of these because I love t-shirts and this was so easy to make.
Conclusion:
I really loved this pattern and the way my top turned out. This was my first foray into knits and this was the perfect pattern to use. My machine got jammed just as I was hemming the sleeves (the final step) so I wasn't able to finish it completely (which is driving me crazy because I want to wear the top!) I have some rust-colored poly rayon I plan on using for my next top.

If it's eating the fabric at the start of the seam, wrap it with water soluble Solvvy stabilizer or start sewing on a piece of paper making sure it goes under about an inch of start of your seam to keep fabric from getting pulled down into feeddogs. When done gently remove. OR hem with lightweight Steam-a-seam. 12/27/12 9:38 AM
