Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? The finished dress looked somewhat like the photo on the pattern. I didn't go with a sewn in ribbon, though I wish I had. And I didn't do rickrack on the entire neckline. And I did not add a slip or net under-ruffle, as called for in the pattern.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The bodice instructions were a bit confusing for me. Lots of pieces and the pictures were not helpful.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Love the round skirt! I did not like doing a narrow hem on that much skirt. I thought the attached slip and under-ruffle were a bit too much, but if I were making this for a very special occasion, I'd add them. I don't like the bias tape neckline, and would have preferred facings or full lining.
Fabric Used: Quilting cotton, which is very stiff, but worked for this dress. I made one for my 15 month old granddaughter, and one for my 9 month old granddaughter.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I couldn't decide on the sewn-in ribbon, so I left it off and went with a tied ribbon, which I didn't like because it didn't sit right.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will make it again, in summery material. My daughters love the look and my older granddaughter loves that it twirls out when she turns.
Conclusion: I hope to add more photos of the girls in their dresses later. I also made a different dress for my oldest granddaughter out of the same material, and a bowtie for my grandson. They all looked adorable.
