Pattern Description:
This cutting edge blouse has interesting design features with a slight shawl collar that hugs the neck.
The ¾ sleeve is finished with a bias cut cuff. This is a great blouse if you want something a little different!
Pattern Sizing:
6-30 I made a size 12 which is closest to my bust size but had to increase the hip ease.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, I did not make any style changes to this blouse.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were fine though I did not follow them other to see what the recommended order of construction was.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes - I really like the shaped yokes and the slight collar that becomes the button band.
Small Dislike - The points on the yokes are a bit tricky to sew but the rest of the design is easy.
Fabric Used:
Cotton lawn from Harts.com
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Did a forward shoulder adjustment of 1/2" and added another 1/2" of ease through the hip.
Due to the shaped yoke I did not do my broad back adjustment and also left off a bust dart. I'd probably add these alterations to the pattern if I sew it again.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would sew this again in a solid color so you could actually see all the work on the yokes.
Conclusion:
I really like the details on this design and was super happy to have just enough of this fabric to make one.
Now I know where you got the fabric. Hehe. Lovely blouse.
