Pattern Description: A-Line Skirt with Fitted waist to my exact measurements. Fitted waist with facing; side zipper.
Pattern Sizing: Any and all. Can be adjusted to fit any body
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It looked like how I wanted it too ~ maybe even better! I'm in love!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I hope my instructions are easy enough to follow. Once the basic pattern is set to your measurements it is so versatile and easy to use.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked how it fit me exactly. Store bought clothes don't seem to fit me well; my waist is small but my hips are big and there's where I tend to have issues.
Fabric Used:
Beautiful 100% cotton from Riley Blake's The Simple Life Children's Chores in Aqua.
The pockets were Black, White & Currant Ditsy Flower Red, also 100% cotton. I used 2 cute vintage buttons too.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan on using this base pattern time and time again! I love it. The first muslin needed a bit of tweaking - had to add darts - but after I got it right, now I'm set!
Conclusion:
So simple to make a skirt pattern to fit any body type exactly. The patience I put into this will benefit me when I choose to make future skirts off the pattern.
