Pattern Description: A backpack, perfect size for kids to carry all they need for a day at kindergarten or daycare. The bag closes with a drawstring and secure buttoned flap. The straps are adjustable and there are external pockets for easy access to drinks, snacks or a favourite toy.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are great. Lots of pics and diagrams, and step by step instructions for each section of the bag.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? All likes!! Its just cute! Fun to play with the contrasting fabrics.
Fabric Used: Valori Wells Wrenly fabric for the pocket, flap, straps and cord casing. I can't remember which line the body fabric is from. All came from GJ fabrics. I just happened to have the orange cord in my stash. Nice fluke! It matches perfectly! Lined in white cotton from my stash.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any changes, but I will say, the lady in the shop cut out the exact measurements in the book, and I didn't have enough for the straps, but that was my error. I should have been more careful cutting out!! Fortunately for me, I had the stripy wrenly fabric in the stash. I love how it turned out!! I need to mention too, that my daughter who I made this for is 12yo. I should have lengthened the straps a few inches, but didn't think of that until it was too late. It still fits, but would have been a bit more suitable for my big kid!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely sew this again! I have an order from my 9yo daughter, and I am told that it needs to be blue. Highly recommended!
Conclusion: I purchased Nikki's book about 2 years ago, and my daughter picked the fabric on the same day. It was a long time coming, but great little bag and fun project!
