Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
No, due to my alterations it is different. I think it came out better than the photos on the envelope or the Vogue website - they do not do the pattern justice.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Meh. There's a little trickiness on the underarm of the sleeve, and the pattern could have been more clearly written.
Also, I used Claire Shaeffer's machine rolled hem technique, which is one additional round of stitching on each edge, but gives an almost perfect finish.
Fabric Used:
I used a fabulous silk crepe that I got at Sewfisticated discount fabrics in Somerville, MA. I wanted a pattern that could feature the long dot design uninterrupted, and this one was ideal.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I doubled the length of the sleeves to increase the impact of the print.
