Pattern Description: Quick to sew Tie Neck Blouse.
Pattern Sizing: Pattern is sized from 34 - 38. I used my regular burda size 36 and its spot on.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? No, as usual. And honestly if it hadn't been for Nancy's photo tutorial I could never have figured it out. Thanks Nancy!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the retro styling of this top and love how feminine it is. Makes me feel so special.
Fabric Used: This fabric is special. My husband actually took the time to travel to the garment district in Malaysia when he was on a trip from school and found this fabric. They sold it to him as silk but when I did a burn test it was rayon. Still pretty but he was disappointed as you can imagine. It was perfect for this top.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Nothing, except since my fabric was not wide enough my tie is a little short. Doesn't bother me.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will absolutely sew it again. This top lends itself to a variety of different fabrics. Cotton Voile, crepe de chine, silk charmeuse (my next version) and there is no reason this can't be made in a knit too.
And If you're wondering if I am freezing in this top taking photos when it was below 18 degrees out, here you go... (yup the hardship of reviewing)
