Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think the dress looked very much like the photo on the pattern. Its was a nice slim fitting dress with really cute features (bow, pleats, full lining). If anything it turned out better than I expected.

Pattern Sizing:
I cut a size 12 in this Vogue pattern and the sizing was accurate.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instruction were easy to follow but I agree with gabc's review that the bow step wasn't in the correct order. I sewed up all of the pleats which I thought was in a previous step and found myself unpicking the pleat where the bow was suppose to go through. However, this wasn't a big deal and I made a second dress pretty much straight after and left that one pleat till last and it worked out fine. The rest of the steps are pretty simple.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the bow and the front pleats. The dress suits my hourglass shape and I think the skirt part of this dress is very flattering. No making your bum bigger! It also has small capped sleeves which I liked as I don't always enjoy sleeveless dresses with my body shape.

Fabric Used:
I used two versions. One is a stretch knit from Spotlight (Australia). The other one was made from wool for the winter months. Both turned out lovely.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The animal print dress if you see the photos on my blog is the exact Vogue pattern with no alterations. However, in saying that once I sewed the dress entirely I found that the front neckline sagged a little (probably could have got away with it) but I decided to insert 2 pleats just to reduce that gap.

The second dress, wool black version I made the back of the dress go up a bit higher as I think it would be more comfortable like this with wearing to work.

I also made both of these skirts longer which I normally do for every Vogue dress I make as they seem to end up pretty short. I learnt my lesson a few dresses ago!!

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely sew this dress again. I am now considering this dress as a bridesmaids dress if I can find the right material as its so pretty and flattering but still elegant and simple.

Conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this dress, hopefully my alterations have helped if you are a similar figure to me.
