Pattern Description: A v-neck sweater that has the option of color blocks using different fabrics.
Pattern Sizing: 104-140
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? no, but but that is because of my changes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. Ottobre instructions are minimal but clear. I would recommend them only to the adventurous new sewer or the experienced sewer.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really liked the shape of this shirt and that there are options on how to sew it together.
Fabric Used: heavy sweater knit. This fabric is great; I have never seen anything like it available to be bought before but I got it on fabric.com.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added the hood from pattern # 16 in this same magazine. I also chose to not do the color blocking and simply used the same fabric through it all. And I added a kangaroo style pocket.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. I think this shirt will become one of my go-to patterns for my son.
Conclusion: This shirt is a great basic that can be sewn up many different ways.
