Pattern Description: Knit top with front gathers and wrap neckline details. Also included is a cute pleated skirt. This review is for the knit top only.
Pattern Sizing: Sized from 3m-12. I cut this top out last summer! so I used 18-24m sizing. My daughter is almost 2 and this top is just right for her. I could have easily gone up a size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well, yes, considering its a line drawing, I'd like to think mine looks better. The color knit fabric helps too.
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is such an easy top to sew, but the instructions are really good. Each piece is very well marked and even though I was skeptical of the binding piece which seemed very short, it was perfect! It helps hug the top to her chest.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love love love this pattern. I was able to put this together in a matter of a couple of hours (maybe not even). I can see myself making the dress version of this pattern as well. The wrap detail is adorable.
Fabric Used: I bought this really cute rayon jersey from Janie's Sewing Corner at the Ohio meet up. As I was sewing this up though, I wasn't sure if it would work out because its so thin but it did.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any changes in this version but see how tight the sleeves are. And nothing is ever tight on her. Connie says the same thing in her review so I guess I'm not the only one. I will go up a size for my next version but you may want to check on that.
Instead of hemming, I just did a rolled hem on the sleeve hems and the shirt. Worked like a charm. Easy Peasy!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, and most definitely yes. It is such a cute pattern. Most of O&S patterns are for wovens so I was excited to try this one and just like their other patterns, this one doesn't disappoint. I wish they would release more knit patterns though. |

This top is absolutely adorable! (As well as your gorgeous daughter! She's gotten so big!). I love the coloring of this fabric and at first glance, I thought you may have dyed it yourself! Beautiful job all around!

Very cute! Yes, I found it run a little small the one time I made it for my daughter as an infant. It is back in my cue again, but I will flat measure e sleeve width first!
