Were the instructions easy to follow?
Since I have minimal drafting skills, this was quite easy to do. I took 2 sheets of 8.5x11 computer paper and wrapped it around the Kindle until I liked the way it fit, and then added seam allowances. I chose to make a side opening instead of a top opening for easier access.
Fabric Used:
Several fat quarters from the stash. I used spray adhesive to attach poly batting to both the lining and the top fabric and then sprayed the batting and glued it together. This worked well and I had no shifting while quilting.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes..this turned out to also be a good size for a small clutch or wallet.
Conclusion:
I was interested to find out if the spray adhesive would affect my needle since I had three layers of adhesive, but I had no problems. I used the 505 adhesive. I did find that my walking foot didn't want to go over the thickest areas while doing the binding. I took it off and used the regular foot and my machine (vintage) had no problems.
