I wanted a knit top for knocking around the house. I made two other versions of this top, neither of which pleased me. This third version is so comfortable I didn't want to take it off after taking the picture.
Pattern Description:
Simple pullover top. Other views have v-neck, cowl neck and neckline zipper. The pattern also includes a hat.
Pattern Sizing:
1x - 4x
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Kwik Sew instructions are always easy to follow. This top can be made in an evening.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I wanted a simple, comfortable top to wear around the house.
Fabric Used:
The pattern called for "heavyweight stretch knits only". When I used knits that were not heavyweight, I was not at all satisfied with the results. It's the same mistake I've made a gazillion times - I use the wrong fabric. This sweatshirt knit curled a little and I hate when that happens. But because the knit was on the heavy side, it was manageable.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made this straight out of the envelope. It would fit better if had but darts. But, it's only a sweatshirt after all.
The pattern called for simple turned-in neckline. I chose to use my machines double overlock stitch to make the the topstitching more decorative.
Nice and looks cute and comfy!!!! I want one.
