Pattern Description:
Staright leg pants with a contoured waistband and a high waist.
Pattern Sizing:
sizes 6 to 14. I cut a 12 but enede up taking it in to more like a size 8. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, It did look similar when I was done but only after taking in the pant legs a lot.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The included information about fitting pants was really great. Like taking a class in pant fitting!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I thought the fit had way too much ease for what look like slim pants on the envelope. Take heed these run big! The way I got them to fit right was to lay a pair of pants I like to wear on top of the pattern. If you visit my blog, you will see that I took off about 5 inches from each leg. Fabric Used:
I used a cotton woven bottom weight with some Lycra in it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I won't make these again as I think they are too high waisted and I don't like the center seam going up the back of the legs. !t looks too 90's
Rhey said... I have a pair of these half done right now, I hope mine wind up looking this good. I hadn't realized that the back leg seam was a '90s thing, I think it helps visually lengthen the legs from the back. 1/30/13 3:04 AM
halleyscomet said... I have had that pattern for awhile now. So many patterns don't come up high enough so these may fit me pretty well. I like the seam down the back. I think with short legs it makes your legs look longer. You did a great job and nice fit too. 1/30/13 8:43 AM
