Pattern Description:
Sewing pattern for empire waist crossover top with built in modesty panel, and concealed nursing openings. Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL. I cut M according to my measurements. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except my seams were a bit wonky. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The modestly panel didn't seem to be the right size. I had to add some darts along the neckline for it to sit better (it was sitting way too low). Fabric Used:
A polyester knit that was probably too thin and slinky for this project. I mainly used it as I wanted to use fabric from my stash. Heavier t-shirt style fabric would work better, I think. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am still undecided if I will sew it again. My main problem with the finished project are stretched neckline and sleeve hems, as well as wonky stitching. Not much to do with the pattern itself, just my sewing and fabric selection. I would still recommend it to others as with the right fabric it will work well. Conclusion:
The pattern itself is lovely to work with and I have seen other finished projects that are great. It just didn't work for me as well as I hoped. I might revisit it in the future if I happen upon the right fabric for it.
