|Pattern Description: |
If you have a little country girl spirit in you, this beautiful shirt-blouse is just right for you. The blouse combines plaid and small print cotton fabrics and its button bands and patch pockets are cut on the bias.
34 - 52
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Okay, but didn't really use them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The sleeves went in like a dream and Ottobre's method of attaching the sleeves before sewing the side and sleeves in one go is a real time-saver. I loved the way they combined fabrics in the magazine but I swapped around the direction of my pieces as I only had the one fabric.
Double faced cotton, plain purple on the inside, checked on the outside.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None other than grading out for sizes through waist and hips.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely. My husband has asked that the next one is in quieter fabric, though. I'd also recommend it.
A really nice casual overshirt. Not too baggy and swamping, easy to make (apart from 12 buttonholes) and lovely to wear.
