Pattern Description:
If you have a little country girl spirit in you, this beautiful shirt-blouse is just right for you. The blouse combines plaid and small print cotton fabrics and its button bands and patch pockets are cut on the bias. Pattern Sizing:
34 - 52 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Sort of. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Okay, but didn't really use them. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The sleeves went in like a dream and Ottobre's method of attaching the sleeves before sewing the side and sleeves in one go is a real time-saver. I loved the way they combined fabrics in the magazine but I swapped around the direction of my pieces as I only had the one fabric. Fabric Used:
Double faced cotton, plain purple on the inside, checked on the outside. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None other than grading out for sizes through waist and hips. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely. My husband has asked that the next one is in quieter fabric, though. I'd also recommend it. Conclusion:
A really nice casual overshirt. Not too baggy and swamping, easy to make (apart from 12 buttonholes) and lovely to wear.

I love your gardner shirt! I think it is one of those shirt patterns that lends to loads of creativity. I really like your direction changes with the plaids.

Love this...it's my favorite style top! You gave it a great twist with the bias plaid. Nicely done!
