Pattern Description: "The Smoothie" Ladies Panties.

Pattern Sizing: Size S- XL4 I made the size medium.. Hip 91-94cm (36"-37")

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I added pretty trim so it looks even better than the line drawing I think!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Jan Bones writes the best instructions...but I also follow along with her "Panties" DVD.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I LOVE this pattern...these are the most comfortable panties I've made so far...and I've made quite a few panties! My hubby thinks these look like "Bridget Jones" panties...lol...but he's never worn thongs so...he does not know the discomfort of wearing teeny-tiny knickers! One small dislike would be that the crotch is very wide like Kwik Sews panty patterns...fixable for sure.

Fabric Used: I bought this fabric (a ton of it) at a garage sale from a friend of mine...not quite sure what the blend is...but for sure some cotton, lycra...maybe some rayon! For the crotch lining, I used a scrap from an old white T-shirt.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I'm very short-waisted so I lowered the waistband by 1 1/2" when I traced the pattern...it now falls just below my belly button. I also used the covered elastic method for the waist elastic because I find it more comfortable. I added some pretty stretch lace trim to the front panel of panties.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will sew this over & over again...once I figure out how to fix the wide crotch, it will become my TNT. I highly recommend this pattern.

Conclusion: When I made my very first pair...I thought the back of panty looked hugh...but it wraps around to meet the front panel...and makes for a nice smooth back-side coverage.
