Misses Dress: Fitted, straight, above the knee, lined, side front tucks, back zipper and hemline vent.
sizes 8-14
I thought it was a super simple dress to make.
I used a Ponte knit which was a bit outside the square but it seem to work out great.
I deleted the zip, the hem vent and the lining as I used a Ponte knit. I also downsized it to allow for the stretch. I added bows to which are removable to the shoulders as I wanted it to look like a dress I had seen on Stop Staring website. I also took it in a little around the thighs to get a really fitted look. I also made the armholes a bit narrower. It worked out really well.
I will definitely sew something else in this pattern.
This pattern was fun to make up. Instructions clear, fits well and looks great on the body

Very interesting as it is a woven pattern but seems to work out nicely with a knit. Just down size it to allow for the stretch. Ponte is a fabulous fabric. Give it another try...:) 2/9/13 6:45 PM
