Yoga pants from a jeans pattern!

Pattern Description:
"Fitted jeans featuring classic 5-pocket styling with optional back flap pockets, fly front, boot leg and topstitching. Finished inseam 34". "

Pattern Sizing:
Size 6 through 16 (hip 37-46)

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Only the basic shape, since I essentially made yoga pants from this jeans pattern.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
To make these pull-on knit pants, I just skimmed through the jeans pattern instructions to confirm seam allowances.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really liked the basic shape of the jeans I made in 2012 from this pattern, so at the time I knew I wanted to try them in a heavy 4-way stretch knit. The yoke on the backside breaks up the view, which I think is flattering (but not flattering enough so that I could get decent pic of the rear view- I tried).

Fabric Used:
4-way stretch heather gray ponte knit purchased from the local store Homespun in 2012. I think it is a rayon/poly/lycra and was labeled as an Eileen Fisher knit. It's very soft and is a heavier knit.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
1. Completely different fabric than this pattern is made for.
2. Eliminated all pockets.
3. I followed the instructions for a wide Stretch Fabric Waistband from Christine Jonson, as posted on her website
Stretch Fabric Waistband Instructions from Christine Jonson
4. The pants were slightly too big at the top using the same pattern size as for my jeans in 2012, so I removed approximately 1/2 inch in width from the upper 9 inches of each side seam allowance before sewing on the waistband.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
The wide waistband is very comfortable but I think it looks best when mostly covered by a top/shirt.

Conclusion:
When I started this sewing mashup (in the spring of 2012) I had no idea if it would work, but I really like the result and that I can wear them for travel, a hike/walk, or a work day at the office.
