Pattern Description:
Misses' knit top in two lengths has surplice or boat neckline and can be made with 3/4 sleeves, ruched short sleeves or sleeveless. Pattern Sizing:
4-16 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
More or less, I made View D and changed the neckline finish. Were the instructions easy to follow?
I did not use them on this simple tee. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the fit, I like the back seam which is contoured and gives some shape at the waist. Fabric Used:
Cotton and lycra knit. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the basic tee right out of the envelope, back, front, sleeves...what's not to love? Instead of the suggested neckband I used the double-layer, raw edged neckband technique that I just learned while making V1315. Here is a close-up. Since that little dress is not for everyone I posted a tutorial on how to make this neckband on my blog. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. I plan to make several other views from this pattern. Great, basic tops. Conclusion:
I really like this tee. Wish I magically had a closet full! Here are some other pics: Closer Back
