Pattern Description:
Close fitting, pullover tops have neck and sleeve length variation. A,B: Heart shaped yoke. C,D: Asymmetrical shaped yoke.
Pattern Sizing:
AA(6-8-10-12), DD(12-14-16-18)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I'm more busty, but yes, definitely.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't use them, because I've sewed t-shirts before. There seemed to be enough detail to guide a beginner through.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like all the variations, and I like that it is a genuinely fitted t-shirt (not too much ease).
Fabric Used:
Small leftover bits of ITY jersey, in similar weights to each other. I think the asymmetrical top will work better this way, because otherwise you might get pulling along the yoke seam.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None really.
I recommend sewing the sleeves in flat. McCalls tells you to sew the side seams first and then set in the sleeves - I find with knits that you end up with gathers or ripples around the shoulder seams if you do that. There's no good reason NOT to sew on the sleeves before doing the side/sleeve seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I've nearly finished a different variation, and I intend to make more!
Conclusion:
A good basic with a twist, and enough variations in the envelope that your wardrobe will remain interesting. |

Love the colours, love the style of your asymmetrical colour blocked top. Long live the colour block trend I say!

I love the colors and your suggestion for sewing the sleeves in flat. I'm just not sure if I'm keen where the yoke hits on this pattern for myself and my build, but it's an interesting idea they have.

Thanks everyone! grays08, I see what you mean about the yoke. You could try putting the pattern pieces together, and then re-drawing the like of the yoke? It's just a diagonal line with no darts or anything, so it shouldn't be too tricky.

Thanks for the suggestion KatC93 - I might just have to do that because I love the line and the color blocking on this.
