Pattern Description: This comfortable, casual dress includes lots of fun details: hidden on-seam front pockets, shirttail hem, buttons at the shoulders, pleat detail at the front neck, a back yoke with pleat for extra ease, and simple shirt-sleeve cuffs. This is a great style for color-blocking, and it can also be worn with leggings for a tunic look

Pattern Sizing: 6m-12years in two sets. I made a 5 which is the smallest size in the larger set and it fits dd well. She is 5 and can wear a 5 in most RTW clothes.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Ignoring fabric choice yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?yes, they were so good I found sewing it to be truly relaxing.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Honestly, it was a Christmas gift and I wasn't thrilled with the style until I saw Emily in the finished project. If you asked her she would say the hidden pockets. She loves pockets.

Fabric Used: I let Emily pick the fabrics. Strawberry short cake character fabric and some poly tuti fruti Joanns fabric. I think they work for her though.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:none

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I probably well sometime between now and when she wears a 12. I would recommend the pattern.

	newmama said... I agree that it's sooo nice to sew with a well-drafted pattern. Oliver + S and Popolok Designs are my top choices because of this. I think the fabric combinations is great--I have the green SS fabric and it's been a struggle to find fabric I like to coordinate with it. 2/16/13 6:46 PM
