Pattern Description:
Misses' knit top in two lengths has surplice or boat neckline and can be made with 3/4 sleeves, ruched short sleeves or sleeveless. Pattern Sizing:
4-16 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, I made View E with the boatneck and ruched short sleeves Were the instructions easy to follow?
They are straightforward and clear. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is my second version of this pattern and I like it for a tee that adds a little something extra. I like the boatneck, the ruched sleeves that are gathered at the sleeve cap, and the center back seam, that adds a nice shape for the waist. Fabric Used:
A cotton and lycra knit. It is an even stripe, but not a matching stripe and the sleeves stripes are matched with different designs, but, since this is basically a muslin, and a knockaround top to wear with jeans, I wasn't concerned with that little spot of laziness. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None on fit, straight out of the envelope and it fits perfectly. I did my own techninque on binding the neck. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. I will try the wrap style at some point but for the moment I'm moving on to something more challenging. This is a good little pattern and becoming a favorite for a variety of basic tees. Conclusion:
Here are some other views. Maggie is modeling tonight, I didn't feel like doing a photo shoot: Boatneck and sleeves
