Pattern Description: Fitted, lined dress has yoke with cap sleeve effect, detailed seams with topstitching trim, back zipper closing and mid-knee length. Purchased belt.
Pattern Sizing: DD 12-18 I made size 18 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes but I lengthened mine (it still looks the same length as on the envelope. Also my skirt looks more straight that on the envelope
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the construction of it and the topstitching detail
Fabric Used: Polyester, I wish I used something with more weight in it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: As mentioned I lengthened it by 2.5, I also had to do alot of alterations on the bust and shoulders. Somehow my points on the neckline are in a different positon, I am totally unaware how this happened.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I would sew it again maybe in a wool crepe, also a lighter colour fabric so you can see the construction and topstitching. I would also maybe make it a little bit more A-line and omit the horizontal seams on the waistline, which I find very unflattering Conclusion:
Yes I like this pattern I did find in difficult getting the seams straight and centered on the skirt panels but the effort was worth while. Also my fabric was hard to tell wrong from right side which didnt help.

I love this dress on you. I think you look fabulous in it! I have this pattern and I think I may give it a go! I'm glad to hear it was easy -if a bit involved - to sew.
