Pattern Description:
A Cowl Tank.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it does! I followed the instructions for my size, and it's true to size (well, after I'd adjusted for the D cup drafting. I had to do a massive SBA for that! Luckily she has a tutorial for that on her site (it's linked on my blog post)
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, and I enjoyed that it explained the difference between serger and regular machine options.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's simple, easy and quick. I did make a toile for it though, and I'm glad I did, just to sort out the bust alterations.
Fabric Used:
Cotton Jersey.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added a CB seam with the idea of curving it in for a bit of shaping. Since there is quite a lot of ease, I don't think it showed up much, lol. I also did some fitting in the shoulder region I'm proud of, lol. Again, on my blog.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would like to. It's a great basic, and I would highly recommend it! Particularly for ladies with a large bust! Next time I will reduce the ease by taking in the side seams, for a more fitting shape.
Conclusion:
Yay! I love trying out new pattern companies, so do go take a look. She has a fabulous blog too, with amazing posts on fitting. Watch this one. Hopefully In-House Patterns takes off
