Pattern Description: LOOSE fit knit top

Pattern Sizing: XS-XL I cut between a Small and Extra Small because this baby runs huge and my fabric had a lot of stretch. I wanted a body conscience fit.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, but much snugger.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Only two pattern pieces!

Fabric Used: Eggplant colored Missoni-ish waffle weavy knit.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I placed the back on the fold instead of a having a center back seam. I darted out the gaposis in the front armacye. I decreased the neckline width by 1" to cover my bra straps. I lined it in tricot and used the All-In-One neckline/arscye finish method. Once you get the hang of the steps, you'll never go back. Makes for a lovely finish. I cut the tricot mesh lining neckline and armscyes 1/8" smaller so it "rolled in" to the inside without understitching. You can see this here from the first Top of Many Colors.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This the third time I've made this top. The first being the Top of Many Colors, a second one from leftover Divine Dinner Dress knit mesh and this one because I bumped into the fabric at Britex and it coordinated with my Exceptional Eggplant Pants. So I think I'm done with this cut for awhile - I've another cut in mind I want to try. I recommend you cut a size smaller than the pattern states based on your measurements, and add about 1" to the shoulder/neck to decrease the neckline if you want cover your bra straps.

Conclusion: I was surprised and very pleased to see this fabric as I realised I had fabric it would compliment perfectly, it's actually pretty easy to sew with and it machine washes & dries in a snap, no ironing!

DBF said "ooh, lookit wot you made. . ." - which is British-speak for something I think is complimentary but I'm not actually sure. Anyway, I like it and the pants too, so here's the Project Pics.

Great top - I'm a fan of this pattern and will have to try your lining method next time. Your DBF's comment made me laugh...sounds like the Brit version of our southern "bless your heart".
