I too, have been away from sewing for a while. I am tired of poor fitting RTW. I bought this pattern because I like shirts and blouses with yokes so I can wiggle in extra room across the back and like the additional bit of warmth they provide. I also liked the bust adjustments pre-made. I will use it as my main pattern of reference once any adjustments are made. I made several comments on harukaís review. I explained my favorite way of doing yokes. I also donít like the band treatment they use and mentioned that in my review. I was suggesting an alteration she could do in front. For yourself, there seems to be a fair bit of extra fabric at waist level in your back view. This could be worked out with one or more small tucks at midline that taper to nothing at the sides. As I said in that review, the ideal is to have all horizontal lines stay horizontal. Iíve been reading a marvelous fitting book where they have drawn vertical and horizontal lines in the fitting garment. The results of even minor changes are amazing. Being a plaid, your shirt is perfect for making adjustments (use pins or baste) then alter the main pattern before you make the beautiful white linen one. (Öif itís not too late). Thanks for your review.

Thanks, you're so kind :) I do think it needs some fine-tuning, especially when I get around to making a white one.
