Pattern Description:
Short sleeved blouse with neck gathers and semi-attached scarf neck tie. Loose fitting through waist.
Pattern Sizing:
36-44. I made a 42.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes and no. It is a Burda pattern!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the scarf neck tie, and I like that its a simple pattern.
Fabric Used:
A silk cotton blend. Delicate and with great intensity of colour. Silk cotton blends are becoming my favourite fabric!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't turn the bottoms of the sleeves up.
I enclosed the scarf tie at the neck in the neck bias binding strip and used a rolled hem finish on the edges.
I didn't cut the front slit down close to the navel as Burda recommended. I did want to be able to wear this to work!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. I'm plotting a print pussy cat bow version (style B) and a leatherette plain neck version (style C)
Conclusion:
Great easy blouse pattern with good upper arm coverage and a cute neck treatment.
Very nice!
