Pattern Description:
A line bias skirt in two lengths, and skirt with gore details in two lengths. Pattern Sizing:
the regular range of sizes....6-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
extrememly What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
good basic skirt. I think with the gore details you could really have some fun with this one by changing up the fabrics, etc. Fabric Used:
rayon spandex knit from Joann's. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I really didn't make any significant changes. The skirt is designed for a woven, and I used a knit. This required that I go down a size from my normal. It's a pretty forgiving style and because of the elastic waist, you have a lot of flexibility to change your fabric type. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh, yes. I can see this in everything from silky to sheer. Like I said, I think you could have some fun with this pattern. Conclusion:
My intention with this skirt was to create something that was inspired by the Michael Kors Spring 2013 Collection...bold stipes and color. I was so pleased to find a simple pattern that gave me the ease of playing with the stripe design of my fabric. The only downside? This one will have to wait for Spring to be worn!
