Pattern Description:
A little girls dress size 2 from 1942. The dress has an inset waistband, a buttoned bodice, Decorative facings facing outward, puffed sleeves, and a tie sash in back. It closes with aside zipper. Pattern Sizing:
Toddler size 2. Vintage patterns only Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think it looks almost identical since I used the same fabric and trim as the pattern drawing! Were the instructions easy to follow?
I love vintage instructions. However, they aren't written for beginners so you might want a good sewing book as well. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Nothing! Fabric Used:
I used a men's shirt from the thrift shop as this was made for a guest post for Project run & Play about sewing with men's shirts. There were 22 pattern pieces and I can't believe I got them all cut out on grain! Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the sleeves a little less puffy. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. Conclusion:

This dress looks awesome! And I love that you upcycled a used men's shirt. Kudos all the way around!

Fantastic dress. Must have taken some time to get all those pieces cut on grain with such little fabric. Way to go!
