| Pattern Description:
Child's Skirt and Knit Dress, Top, Leggings, & Headband
I sewed only the leggings
Pattern Sizing:
My favorite a 4,5,6,7,8 all in one envelope. (Great when your little one is a string bean!) These are 4's, length 7.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think the line drawing looks like these have a slightly lower rise. They do not. They hit at the waist but dd likes them there and is happy, so I am too.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
A simpler pattern cannot exist. The instructions are more than sufficient.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
DD needed some pale pink leggings and I couldn't find any in the right color. A quick search through my patten stash produced this pattern. I like that it's a super quick, one piece pattern that produces a fairly nice fitting pair of leggings. I love that 4-8 are in the envelope and it's super easy to use a smaller size for width and a larger one for length. No slashing and spreading, no fuss, no muss.
Fabric Used:
This is a Laguna Stretch Cotton Jersey from Robert Kaufman in light pink. (fabric.com) It's truthfully a little thin for leggings. 9You can see a bit of show-through on this back view. ) The description suggested it for yoga pants and loungewear, but I find that a little questionable. Still, it's very soft, very stretchy and comfy and I was able to get 2 tiny pairs from one yard (a larger size would not have worked).
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I sewed a 4 but used the length lines for a 7. I could have sewn a 3 if I'd had it, to make the legging fit more snugly, but dd says they're very comfy as is.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely. I'll keep this around for leggings and may try the l/s top. Naturally, dd wants me to make the frilly skirt. ;)
Conclusion:
This is a nice little pattern. The leggings are so quick and simple. I think it was maybe an hour from cutting to wearing. There are several pieces in the envelope to try too. Good deal.

Cute leggings! I plan on making a pair of these for my 3 year old.
