Pattern Description:
Men's and boys robe, lounge pants/shorts. For this review, I just made the robe.
Pattern Sizing:
Multi-sized for men and boys.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I modified to be much shorter, so not exactly.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a great pattern for men. Somehow I've not used it for my boys yet. The fit of the robe, is nicely wrapped through the body, without having excess bulk. The sleeves are quite oversized which worked well for this project, but if I were going for more a more practical everyday robe, I think I'd want to scale the sleeves down so they wouldn't be so likely to get in the way during breakfast.
Fabric Used:
Polyester Chinese Brocade. Poly crepe for the belt.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened the body of the robe considerably.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would like to sew another robe from this pattern. Next time I'll probably make the longer length the pattern is drafted as.
Conclusion:
So far I've made the robe, pants and shorts from this pattern, and everything I've made from it has turned out well. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good basic men's loungewear pattern.
