Pattern Description: Close-fitting, pullover dresses have neckline and sleeve variations, narrow hem. View A: Elasticized side seams.
Pattern Sizing: 2-24W
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I originally bought this pattern for the maxi dress with the cowl neckline. I like the simplicity of it.
Fabric Used: A double knit from my stash. It just barely has enough stretch for this pattern.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made View A and shortened it by 2". I'm 5'7" and the tunic was too long on me in my opinion.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I can see myself making one or two more of these. I would recommend this pattern to others.
Conclusion: This would have been a very quick project. One of those where you are sewing and next thing you know you are on the final step. My issue was that on step one my serger died. It had been limping along and I was ignoring the fact that it would not be much longer for this world. The next day my husband and I headed out to Eddie's Quilting Bee in Sunnyvale and bought a Baby Lock Evolution with auto-tension and auto-threading. I was very hesitant because of the price. My husband was sold on the auto-threader. No more having to leave the room when I need to re-thread the serger. I have a milestone birthday coming up and could not think of a better birthday present. I am very happy with my new machine and am looking forward to many happy years in my sewing room with it.
